The June Gathering
To build systems that carry on into the future, we need mentorship for our youth to connect to the land, each other, and to place-based work options.
As part of our mission to reclaim our place as keystone species, we host an annual gathering for women aged 17-30 (ish) to explore what it means to be a modern-day CommonsKeeper.
The retreat takes place on four acres in Wellfleet, abutting the Cape Cod National Seashore. During our time together, we focus on:
Learning about the local ecosystem stewardship from experienced local mentors
Practicing traditional skills and crafts using local resources
Foraging for edible and medicinal plants
Cooking meals over a fire
Sleeping in tents and spending our days outside
Co-creating ceremonies to deepen our connections to local ecology and each other.
Building community that young commoners can take with them wherever they go
Each year, the retreat carries an elemental theme that our ceremony, education, and stewardship centers around. 2025’s theme was WaterKeepers, 2026’s theme was FireKeepers.
The June Gathering 2027 will be: EarthKeepers. We want to continue bringing powerful mentorship to our participants. We are calling in support that stems from your highest values to extend to young earth stewards of Cape Cod.
